MISSION

Pastor Terence Hobbs, was baptized in the majestic name of the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at the Scripture Church in 1985. His journey began at a young age, where his youthful spirit was combined with a steadfast faith that led him to serve graciously across various ministries at Scripture Cathedral for an impressive thirty-two years. During this time, he traveled extensively throughout the United States, faithfully assisting the Senior Pastor.  The Lord called upon Pastor Hobbs early in life; at just 15 years old, he began working alongside the late Apostle C.L. Long, quickly establishing himself as an exemplary adjutant for over 25 years. His loyalty and dedication were evident as he engaged with countless church initiatives. A true servant of God, Terence committed his time and talents to the Young Adult Choir, Pastor's Choir, Deacon Board, Minister's Ministry, Media Ministry, and as the Director of Fine Arts.  In January 1998, recognizing the divine mandate on his life, Terence embraced his calling by becoming a licensed minister, devoted to preaching the unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Over the years, God continued to equip and prepare him for an even higher calling, leading to a transformative moment in September 2017 when he embarked on a new chapter of his ministry journey.   With a heart open to the voice of the Lord and armed with a clear vision, Pastor Hobbs birthed TJH Radio and Work Your Marriage Ministries. His commitment to God’s instructions is evident as he fervently spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ through dynamic preaching and teaching, reaching out with compassion to God’s people. His deep love for the community shines through in his street evangelism efforts, where he actively feeds the homeless, clothes those in need, and fervently prays for individuals grappling with addiction. 

Pastor Hobbs also tirelessly supports those enduring physical and emotional pain, working alongside them as they strive for their breakthrough victories.  In pursuit of his divine assignment, Pastor Hobbs opened the doors to Victory Deliverance Outreach Church in February 2019. This ministry, rooted in obedience to God's voice, continues to flourish, driven by a heartfelt mission to save souls. As a Biblically-based organization, Pastor Hobbs embodies the teachings of Scripture, drawing strength and inspiration from one of his favorite verses in 1 Peter 5:10: "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you."  

Pastor Terence Hobbs has been blessed to share his life with Kisha Hobbs, the love of his life and his best friend, for over 28 wonderful years. Together, they cherish the joys of family, raising three remarkable children—Renaldo, Taylore, and Ke'Sean—and celebrating the blessings of their five grandchildren: Jade, Malachi, Tymir, Omari, and Tylan.  

Lady Kisha Hobbs, a proud native of Washington, D.C., is a devoted woman of God whose life is marked by authenticity, spiritual power, and unwavering purpose. Endowed with a profound anointing from the Holy Spirit, she has experienced deep personal transformation and embraces transparency in her walk with Christ. Lady Kisha is a passionate servant leader, faithfully supporting her husband in their shared ministry and dedicating herself to uplifting others. She plays a pivotal role in leading Work Your Marriage, where she leverages her extensive expertise and compassionate heart to guide and support couples committed to strengthening their relationships. Drawing upon her wealth of knowledge and her empathetic approach, Lady Kisha empowers those seeking to “keep it together” through practical tools and spiritual encouragement. Her commitment to lifelong learning has led her to complete numerous biblical courses, culminating in her licensure as a minister in the Lord’s church in May 2022. Inspired by a divine vision, Lady Kisha established UnMask Her in July 2023—a dynamic and transformative movement designed to lead women on a journey of healing, self-discovery, and spiritual growth.

Lady Kisha is currently employed as a Program Specialist at the U.S. Department of Education. Having served people as a federal government employee for over 34 years, with more than 24 years of experience working with students and financial aid administrators. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lady Kisha is a devoted intercessor, dedicating herself to prayer on behalf of others. She has shared more than 28 years of marriage with Pastor Terence Hobbs, forming a partnership rooted in faith, love, and mutual support. Together, they have built a strong, loving family and are the proud parents of three children—Renaldo, Taylore, and Ke’Sean—and the joyful grandparents of five grandchildren: Jade, Malachi, Tymir, Omari, and Tylan. Lady Kisha’s deep connections to her family serve as a source of inspiration and motivation in her ministry and daily life.

Kisha’s greatest aspiration is to travel across the nation with her husband, spreading the message of God’s goodness and grace through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her mission is to reach those who are hurt, lost, and broken-hearted, offering hope, encouragement, and spiritual healing. Guided by her life motto from the Book of Ephesians—"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you"—Lady Kisha strives to embody these values in every interaction, uplifting those around her with kindness and empathy.
